Requirement for adoption
- Read it carefully before adoption
- 1. Here at the Center, we screen animals for serious health and behavior problems. Even with the best-behaved animal, however, you should expect to go through a period of adjustment as your pet becomes used to a new home, family, and routine. No animal, no matter where it comes from, is problem free or comes with a health and behavior guarantee, but if you're prepared to provide your new family pet with some time, training, and patience, your reward will be a loving companion.
- 2.Those individuals who are not at home more than 9 hours a day are not approved. For the sake of life of adopter and the interest of pet, he/she should hold off on getting one until the situation changes.
- 3.Every shelter has its own policies for approving adoptions. Our adoption screening process is designed to ensure that each animal is placed with a responsible person, one prepared to make a lifelong commitment, and to avoid the kinds of problems that may have caused the animal to be brought to the shelter. An important part of the process is to match the life-style and needs of the adopter with the individual dog or cat. If the screening process occasionally seems overly strict, try to remember that our first priority is to protect the animal's best interests.
- 4.In most western countries, owners choose euthanasia when the pet is ill, which is quite common. However, one of requirement for our adoption is never to give up. Those days the animals here having went through are dark, they spared no effort for life. Eventually they survive, it is the result of their will, care and devotion from the shelter. They deserve to have better life ahead, deserve to be medically treated as people do when they are sick. DO NOT give up, Keep them alive!
- 5. You should spend plenty of quality time with you pet when you are home, as well as care for its emotional, nutritional and medical needs. Especially for animals in this shelter, most of them have miserable past, being tortured/abandoned, more time, care and love are needed to rebuild trust and hope of life.
