Di Di --The Newly Rescued Maltese Dog

Di Di was sent to our shelter by a couple who found him wandering along the street and looking for something to eat in the dustbins. He was terribly skinny and lost almost all his fur due to severe malnutrition and serious skin diseases.
Mdm Zhang Luping has rich experience in dealing with dogs like Di Di as she has rescued many with the similar status. She has placed Di Di in her bedroom so she could take good care of him by herself.
You will see from the pictures what a life he had in the past as a stray dog, and he is not the only one in Beijing. There are numerous stray animals in China living terrible and scared lives! If he had not been sent to our shelter, he would have 2 possible results—starved to death or killed by the local dog administrative people. This is why we never stop our efforts to push forward the animal welfare legislation and advocate the establishment of animal shelters by government. This is the only way to solve the problems of the increasing number of discarded animals and the potential danger of the outbreak and spread of rabies.
