In 2003, the center was nominated as “Beijing Patriotism Education Center” by the Beijing Municipal Government.
In 2005，Zhang Luping was nominated by the international committee of “One Thousand Ladies in the World Competing for the Nobel Peace Award for 2005” and was listed among the one thousand outstanding woman peace contributors.
Zhang Luping believes that the only way to eliminate the practice of abusing and deserting animals is legislation & education. There is still a long way to go in China for animal protection, but she is trying all her best. Zhang Luping always included the following “dream” when she delivered speeches to the public:
“Within my lifetime I hope to see that the animal shelter like this has no need to exist anymore, as there is no cruelty, abandonment and abuse of companion animals in China. Human beings and animals live in harmony, peace and love.”
