Recognition from Domestic and International Society
· In 2001，BHAEEC was awarded as the Model Base for Companion Animals Protection by IFAW；
· In 2001，Zhang Luping was awarded as the Outstanding Contributor of Animal Protection by IFAW；
· In 2001，BHAEEC was awarded the Certificate of Association by RSPCA, which is the first time that RSPCA awarded such certificates to a privately-run animal shelter in the world；
· In 2001，the renowned animal behavior scientist, Dr. Jane Goodall visited BHAEEC and gave very high comments on its contribution to animal protection. In 2005, Dr. Jane Goodall made a special visit again to the center；
· In 2003，BHAEEC was nominated as “Beijing Patriotism Education Center” by the Beijing Municipal Government；
· In 2004，Zhang Luping was awarded “Outstanding Female Contributor” by the Beijing Women’s Union, the General Labor’s Union, and Beijing Personnel Bureau；
· In 2005，BHAEEC was awarded the “Outstanding Organization”; Zhang Luping was awarded the “Outstanding Individual Contributor” by the Beijing Municipal Government；
· In 2005，Zhang Luping was nominated by the international committee of “One Thousand Ladies in the World Competing for the Nobel Peace Award for 2005” and was listed among the one thousand outstanding woman peace contributors.
